The Esprit Fall 2020 collection is an update of the layered look and balances classic outerwear pieces that reflect the contemporary style with the excellent quality of the Esprit philosophy - clean basics and casual vintage vibes; all with a great focus on modern, environmentally friendly materials.
The women’s collection features flowy dresses with vintage prints, combined with cognac brown leather, denim styles and cozy knits in fashionable tones of Bordeaux, bright red and radiant turmeric. Classics such as puffer jackets, flowy suede leather jackets and wool coats made from a high-quality Italian wool blend are key pieces in the collection and act as timeless outerwear. Outlasting every fashion trend, these pieces showcase sustainability at its best and are animal-friendly to match. When using wool, Esprit comply with the “Reasonable Wool Standard”, an independent and voluntary industry directive. This ensures that the treatment of wool sheep is kept in accordance with the “Five Freedoms” of the Farm Animal Welfare Council (FAWC) and that best practices regarding the management and soil protection are observed. As Esprit seeks to further expand its sustainable wool range, up to 50% of the wool will come from certified sources by 2022.
The filling of the new Women's and Men's Sustainable Jacket offering consists of 100 percent recycled, featherless material - a further advancement in terms of Esprit's commitment to using more materials from recycled sources, by 2021 – whether 100% recycled or biodegradable fillings made of imitation down. The collection is made complete with the addition of Quilted jackets made from recycled PET and 2-in-1 jackets with removable padding.
In the men’s collection, everything revolves around smart basics: classic trench coats, clean denim and soft wool sweaters are complemented by modern shaped jackets in a box cut, signal-colored windbreakers and suits made from innovative materials. The new “Easy Suit” made of modern Solotex® fabric is characterized by its shape retention innovation, softness, elastic waistband and machine wash-ability up to 30 degrees; with no need for ironing thanks to the crease-free material. The new “Jog suit” made of jersey knit feels incredibly soft on the skin and is equally easy on the eye – clear competition for the classic suit. The elegant “Active Suit” proves versatile with smart details such as comfortable bi-elastic fabric, stretch lining for maximum freedom of movement and a higher proportion of crease-free wool.

Fueled by the vision of essential positivity, Esprit was founded in California by couple Susie and Doug Tompkins in 1968. Inspired by the revolutionary spirit of the 60s the brand developed a clear philosophy – always celebrating real people and togetherness, in line with the brand's promise: “We want to make you feel good to look good”. The success story of Esprit is based on two pillars: Delivering joy every day through laid-back tailored, high quality essentials and carefully selected fashion-forward pieces while staying true to its core values of sustainability, equality and freedom of choice. Example: In the early 90ies, long before "Eco Fashion" became fashionable, Esprit debuted its first “ecollection” made of 100% organic cotton and featured its own team instead of models in in honor of their “Real People Campaign.”
Keeping this spirit alive since day one, today Esprit has a presence in 40 countries around the globe. Esprit’s headquarters are located in Germany and Shanghai.
