Góód news about Design Passage, the brand new design festival on the upper floors of the Hague Passage, where young creatives, small labels from real makers and brands present their things. Together, this exhibition shows a variety of special lamps, sustainable rugs, furniture and objects. Nice to speak to the designers and take something extraordinary home!
The design world is extremely optimistic, pluralistic and international. In the Netherlands, many makers from other countries work in the creative industry. You can see that it is vibrant in Design Passage! Because our beautiful city has not only dunes, but also embassies, we have invited the latter to put their talents in the spotlight. Bangladesh, Brazil, Greece, Malta and Kosovo make Design Passage an extra interesting affair. We never stop discussing the question 'what is design and what is craftsmanship?' A little humor is also welcome, according to the students of KABK, who in 'Bauhaus Laugh House' lightly poke fun at objects by famous Modernist artists such as Le Corbusier and Oskar Schlemmer and Bauhaus prominent figures Ludwig Mies van de Rohe, Josef Alberts and Marcel Breuer.
Kukka, Nina van Bart, Bas Kosters, René Knip, Aptum, Kars + Boom, Atelier van Asseldonk, Mimi Berlin, Studio Mirte, Juno Brown, Martina Farrugia, Roberta Banqueri and many many others: go see them!
*unfortunately the exhibition on the top floors of De Passage is not accessible to wheelchairs.
